Projects with Swimming Pools: A Distinct Value Amid Limited Supply
Residential complexes with swimming pools are gaining popularity in Moscow. Over the past five years, their number has doubled, according to research conducted by the development company UNIQ Development.
In most current projects, pools are integrated into fitness centers, spa areas, or exist as standalone amenities. However, in the premium segment, there is still a noticeable shortage of developments that offer not just a pool, but a full-fledged wellness center.
At the same time, the wellness trend continues to accelerate. According to estimates by the Global Wellness Institute, the global wellness market is expected to grow from $5.6 trillion today to $8.5 trillion by 2027.
“In the coming years, the number of new residential buildings with swimming pools will increase across all market segments. However, the overall share of such projects in the Russian real estate market will remain lower than in countries with milder climates, where pools can be found in 30–40% of listings. This makes such offerings in Moscow even more exclusive and highlights their premium positioning,” said Valery Ruchiy, Head of Sales at UNIQ Development.
